the swans' feathers

Area 17 said...: I really like this on many levels: its natural history element (I looked up feathers changing colour) and its allusion to Hans Christian Andersen's famous fable, and of course the ballet 'Swan Lake'.

It's also a beautiful haiku in its own right, but more than that, it acts as a catalyst to look deeper.
